Background and Expertise
Joe Antonelli has spent over three decades in public education as an english teacher and high school administrator in Southern California. He is a graduate of Claremont McKenna College and the Claremont Graduate University School of Education Studies.
Joe holds a PhD in the field of Forensic Psychology with emphases on Criminal Behavior and Threat Identification and Management. His dissertation studied the correlations between childhood adversity and adult violent criminal behavior. He is also an adjunct faculty member of the University of Redlands School of Education. Joe works as a principal in alternative education, overseeing a continuation school and a juvenile hall.
Joe serves as a board member for the California Continuation Education Association (CCEA) and was twice named their state Administrator of the Year. He is a popular presenter on topics including the neuroscience of behavior, equity, school discipline, restorative practices, bullying, and trauma.
